Gaspard Le Dourner (born 1997) is a Belgian/French film director and screenwriter. He studied at Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) in Belgium and graduated with his short film Solar. In 2025, he wrote and directed LES LUCIOLES (Fireflies), a short fiction film. He is currently developing his first feature film.
FIREFLIES (Les Lucioles) tells the story of three women - one family - shaken by Alzheimer's disease. Gaspard Le Dourner met Aisleen McLafferty and Lila Leloup, the actresses, during their film studies, and they connected around the desire to tell a story of sorority in which two sisters seek to repair a family rift. Their mother, played by Marie Bunel, is struggling with the illness and they lack the tools to face it. The film seeks to understand what binds and separates the sisters and how they can unite again to confront the danger. Except that outside, the forest is burning and time is running out.
