For Wednesday, Camille, a 12-year-old boy, must find a partner to kiss in the middle of the playground. But his fears, stronger than his desire for Zelda, will transform this ordinary event into a fantastic ordeal.
French director and photographer based in Brussels, Alice Khol graduated from the Agnès Varda Photography School. She directed two short documentaries, Cure (2016) and Juliette the Great (2020), which was selected for the FIFA - Montreal International Festival of Films on Art and nominated for the Magritte du Cinéma. Cœur Gras is her first short fiction film.
- Cure (2016, short)
- Juliette The Great (2021, short)
- Tarot (2023, short)
- Une journée dans la vie de Pierres (2024, short)
GREASY HEART transforms a seemingly ordinary childhood moment -the first kiss- into a raw chronicle of childhood anxiety. Dreamlike and flirting with the fantastic, it offers a promising glimpse into the magical realism that defines Alice Khol’s cinematic universe.
