Sarah Kern was born in Laguna, in the South of Brazil. After her studies in journalism, she moved to Paris, France, where she went to ESRA film school and shot her first music videos. A cinephile since a young age, she soon made her way into fiction with AFTER THE NIGHT. Sarah is currently editing her second short film, an experimental fiction shot in her Brazilian hometown. She is also developing her first feature film project and preparing to shoot a documentary about a French war photographer.
We loved AFTER THE NIGHT for its simplicity and its mastery in building tension. It’s a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, questioning facades, delicately crafted and thought-provoking.
